Today we tackled some of the trails further out on the perimeter against the Superstition Mountains. These are at times more technical than most everything else out here. I really like Lost Gold Mine Trail and we rode a new section called Lost and Found that I don’t think gets much use. It’s more technical and pretty far out there which suits us just fine. The singletrack is single, which is nice! The trails out here make great use of every little knoll and provide excellent views of the mountains. The riding is good fast fun for the most part and I’d highly recommend it.
Everything out here is pokey so there isn’t much room for error. Even leaning into turns can be troublesome if there are cacti around. When I’m not looking out for pokey things, I have to look out for rattling things. Today we came across our first rattlesnake of the season. He lifted his head to look at me before slowly slithering across the access road.
I’m sure the full moon was spectacular everywhere. We snapped a shot from our point of view.
