Another day in the higher country! Derek and I rode Dry Fork up to the Colorado Trail then rode up that to The Highpoint and turned around and came back with an add-on of Hoffheins Trail. None of this was new to us, we have ridden it a number of times. It’s just a really fun ride with some pretty easy climbing, good views, and fun downhill.
I say easy climbing because there isn’t anything really steep, just consistent. It looks like the sawyers had a busy time cutting out all the downed trees up there. The Highpoint is around 9600′ so not as high as some of the other trails we ride in this area. It’s a good turnaround point for a quicker ride though.
Our time here is almost over. We’re moving on to explore a new area so stay tuned.
