There are so many gravel roads around here! Today’s ride was 37 miles with 2600′ climbing. There was a stiff headwind part of the way and a lot of flat out pedaling to make it seem harder than it should have. It sure is nice to be able to spend time outside in the fresh air and sunshine, surrounded by nobody…except maybe bears and definitely snakes.
We started out on County Road 105 through farms and ranches and wound down into the canyon. There are some amazing properties out this road! It’s a great gravel road that isn’t very steep anywhere, just gradual climbs. We navigated through a series of lesser roads, some more like trails, and looped around. This was another lollipop ride so we finished by retracing our way back to the start.
All our posts are starting to mash together in my mind. We are fortunate to be sheltering in place in such a lovely area with so much to do. We aren’t sure what the rest of the summer will look like for us, but I’m sure riding is involved!
