Desert View Conservation Area is approximately 605 acres of undeveloped desert biome with mountain biking and hiking trails. None of the trails are very long, and we had to be creative to weave them all together into a ride. Our ride was 12 miles with 1353′ of climbing.
The trails out here are slow going for the most part because they twist and wind around and through all the rocks in the area. It’s the desert so there are some sandy spots but we did just fine on regular mountain bikes, no fatbikes needed. The trails are pleasantly adventurous and my favorite was Latte Run. However, there are no trail signs anywhere out here and not all the trails are on Trailforks so good luck. Just go explore. It’s only open dawn to dusk so don’t get locked in!
That’s prime rock climbing area. Did you see any people climbing ?
We didn’t, but maybe everyone just goes into the park?
