Condor Canyon Ride

Heidi Faller Posted onApril 17, 2022April 17, 2022 Caliente, Mountain Biking, Nevada Leave a Comment 208 Views

This short ride out and back through Condor Canyon was 11.3 miles with only 595′ of climbing making it perfect for almost a day off.

The canyon starts just outside the tiny town of Panaca, Nevada which was a settled by Mormons back in 1857. The railroad used to go through this canyon so the grade is almost flat as it cuts through sheer rock cliffs that you would never guess are back here. There isn’t much information on the area on the internet but supposedly the canyon is named for the bird which was spotted there in the 80’s. We rode out until we reached fences with private property signs and then turned back.
