It’s a little cooler up at the Boggy Draw trails in Dolores, CO so we put together a new to us loop up there for a quick ride before the heat. A friend had told me about a new fun trail in the network and we incorporated it. Bonus, it has a fun name…String Bean.
String Bean is rated a Moderate as far as technical difficulty goes and that’s fair. The trail winds along the edge of a cliff with lots of little rock sections to negotiate. This isn’t a high speed trail, but instead, requires some skill and finesse. It was a blast! After that we tacked on the Sunset Loop which on a map looks like a dragon or something.

This trail is nice in that there is a lot of shade and plenty of greenery and flowers. One section is a fast swoopy bit down a canyon that you can really get screaming on! After this we connected with Bean Canyon for a climb back to our starting spot. So Fun!
