Derek and I rode the Desert View Conservation Area trails in Joshua Tree back in 2021 and hit them up again the other day. It’s really the only place to truly mountain bike singletrack in Joshua Tree and the trails are pretty fun.
Desert View Conservation Area is a 605 acre park that has trails all over it. It’s a maze so you’ll need the Trailforks App or you could just wander. Not much is signed and you can’t really get a lay of the land because the boulder mountains hide the trails. It’s beautiful out here and a true gem for the area.
There are trails for all levels of riders and we felt challenged by the rock drops and gardens on several trails. Watch your speed because there are also plenty of pokey things around. Enjoy!
