This one! I loved our hike on the Maze and North View Loop Trails in Joshua Tree National Park. It was almost 7 miles and well worth the effort.
We hiked counterclockwise to get the sandy wash section out of the way first. The maze wasn’t as maze-y as I thought it would be but still really cool to see all the interesting rocks. I read reviews of people getting lost but I don’t know how.
My favorite part of the hike was the North View Loop because of the gorgeous blocky Joshua Tree granite formations everywhere. This is where we gained all our elevation and got the great views. I’d rate it as moderately difficult; it would be challenging for people with mobility issues because there is a lot of rock to climb up and down. I don’t know how many ways I can describe the magic of different landscapes and how grateful I am to get to see these places. I mean, just look at these pictures!
