We have a long history with Sedona, we’ve been coming here to mountain bike since the late 90’s when we were tent camping. Decades later, we are still enjoy it, though now it is much busier. So here we are, living in our RV down a dirt road among red rock cliffs, expansive views, and warmth. In the mornings, the hot air balloons drift by while we enjoy coffee, and in the evenings, with the sun setting to our backs, we happily sip beers and plan our next days adventure.
Thunder Mountain
Our new Niner bikes are LOVING this terrain around Sedona. Mountain bikes have come along way since the early 90’s and it almost seems like cheating when bombing down rocky chutes and flying through bouldery gardens. Since mountain biking is king around here we spent our first two days riding. Our first day was spent getting attuned to the technical nature and feeling brave. We spent a couple hours riding the trails just north of town called Thunder Mountain.
Cathedral Rock Area Trails
Ha, when your ride starts with a river crossing in the first mile, you know it’s gonna be good. We spent a couple hours today riding some of the trails around Cathedral Rock. There were a couple hike a bike spots where I decided I’d taken enough risk and should walk a section. The views, well, they can talk for themselves in the photos. Enjoy, I am.
You guys are having too much fun!
