Tim Cup Pass is a 4X4 really rough and rocky road that tops out at the Continental Divide at 12,154′. Historically it was a wagon route, now it’s an off roaders dream.
The climb up was pretty steady and rough in most areas but we were able to almost keep up with Jeeps that were driving up. At the top we had the advantage and bombed down the other side, easily passing anything. We reached Mirror Lake after any incredibly rocky, rugged descent. We chatted with some folks in side by sides, took some pictures, and feared our climb back up.
We made pretty good time on the climb back up. I stopped to put my rain jacket on for warmth and then down we went. All done, it was 19 miles and 3300′ climbing.
We celebrated with beers at Eddyline Brewery in Buena Vista.
I wanted to see Eddyline brewery pics.
