The weather looked a little threatening so we decided to just do an exploratory ride from our boondocking spot along Willard Creek. We had to turn around once we hit snow, but our ride was 14 miles with 1, 556′ of climbing.
This area is a maze of forest service gravel roads that wind up and down the mountains and are sometimes quite steep! There isn’t a whole lot to say about our ride. It started in the burn and wound up into heavy forest at times. I really enjoy seeing all the cedar and of course smelling that sweet, sweet fragrance.
It’s deserted out here and we didn’t see anyone although I did spook a giant coyote as I was blasting down one of the roads.
