Cleetwood Cove

The only way to get to the water at Crater Lake is via Cleetwood Cove Trail. This trail is pretty short but very sweet. The trail descends from Rim Road via a series of switchbacks through the trees and then bam, you’re down at the water. It’s a dusty trail and can be hot in the summer but it was mid 70’s when we hiked it. In the hotter months it swarms with people swimming and jumping off the rocks. They aren’t running yet, but Boat Tours leave from here also and I hope to get to do that in the future.
