Annie Creek Canyon Hike

Before the Mazama campground here at Annie Creek opens, Derek and I took advantage of the solitude and hiked down into the canyon. The trail was partially covered in snow still so we had to improvise.

Annie Canyon Trail goes along the rim of the campground and then descends down into the canyon. We couldn’t hike all of it because of the heavy snow coverage in spots but we still put together a good hike. The water is still flowing high from all the snow melt and believe me, it’s cold! This hike goes down into a deep ravine, bordered by steep, light-colored volcanic rocks and forested views.

I can’t wait for the wildflowers to start popping!
