When in Rome! We’re along the Trinity River where white water rafting is extremely popular so we took a turn. Our trip was with Six Rivers Rafting and I highly recommend them.
We drove a short 7 miles to Six Rivers Rafting where they gave us wetsuits (the water temp is currently 53), helmets, life vests, and paddles. After a quick lesson on the boat and safety instructions we were on the water with our guide, Pete.
On our tour we were treated to some great whitewater sections that gave me the opportunity to “ride the bull”. This is where you sit on the very front of the raft with your feet hanging over and hold on to the rope at the front…just like riding a bull. Only this is on the raft through a white water rapid where you get walloped with water in the face.
Further into the trip we took some time to cliff jump off some rocks along the side of the river. It was only about 12-15′ up but it felt like so much more! Back in the boat, we continued on down through several more rapids and hopped out at Big Flat River Access for the shuttle ride back to the start.
What an amazing experience!
