So what if we’ve ridden in Sedona one thousand times, once more can’t hurt! We picked a weekday and off we went.
For real though, we first came to Sedona to mountain bike back in the late 90’s and we have always had fun. We aren’t new to the trails and have ridden most of them multiple times. Sometimes we came for a long weekend, other times we spent 2 weeks here riding. If you have never been to Sedona it is worth it. It’s a beautiful place, but it’s busy now.
We picked the Grandview System on the edge of town so we wouldn’t have to drive that far. Plus, I love these trails because they aren’t that popular with hikers who tend to flock to the trails by Bell and Cathedral Rocks. Our favorite hike here was Bear Mountain. Indeed, we only came across 2 mountain bikers and 2 hikers during our ride.
This is tourist central for sure. There are a billion airbnb’s, and plenty of hotels to choose from. If you’re camping, that’s harder. Getting around on a weekend can be annoying, so consider taking the free trail shuttle.
