After a day of settling into our RV spot we went on our first ride at Buzzard Butte in Pacific City, Oregon. Buzzard Butte is a fantastic addition to the area with what will be 30 miles of purpose built trails when finished. I’m not sure how many miles already exist but the network is definitely a “session type” system. You climb up the gravel and singletrack and then downhill trails branch off…so think laps.
It was drizzling slightly as we started off but that didn’t last long and the sun came out…but not before a little mud was made! Brap. We had a fun time checking out the network and Derek even sampled the slippery dirt with a crash. The terrain is remarkably hilly and the trails weave through lush forest. I love the PNW! We’ll be back to this network for sure.
Afterwards we stopped by Tilamook to have some beers at Pelican Brewery and then over to the library because I love books! The library has a fabulous mural on the walls of the staircase to the second story. Check out the pictures below. What a great day.
