Hope Lake
Another doozy! Hope Lake hike + extra credit add-ons was 6 miles and featured beautiful trail through forest, a river, waterfalls, a lake, wildflowers, and billions of jagged red and orange mountains.
We hiked up about 2,000′ to around 12,200′. At that height we could see the whole mountain range! Looking back down on Trout Lake it made how far up we’d hiked more real. Hope Lake was an amazing blue but no, I didn’t swim in it. Brrrr!
Rico, Colorado
We took a spin through Rico, CO , A tiny town about an hour down the valley from Telluride. We tried stopping at the bar for a beer but it was closed. Booooooo.
